Seth Jones scored the tying goal in the last minute of regulation, then netted the winner in overtime as the Chicago Blackhawks rallied for a 4-3 win against the visiting Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday.

Jones, who earlier had an assist, finished off a two-on-one feed from Tyler Johnson at 2:24 of overtime.

He forced the extra session when he scored from the blue line with 56 seconds left in the third period. Buffalo challenged the tally for goalie interference, but the call on the ice stood after a video review.

Philipp Kurashev had a goal and two assists, Connor Murphy scored, Johnson had two assists and Petr Mrazek made 30 saves for the Blackhawks, who have won four of their past five games.

Tage Thompson, Victor Olofsson and Peyton Krebs scored for the Sabres, who are 1-4-1 in their past six games. Craig Anderson stopped 22 shots.

Murphy opened the scoring at 8:41 of the first period. Kurashev spotted Murphy pinching undetected into the inner right circle, and Murphy fired the puck into the top corner on the short side for the 1-0 lead.

Olofsson tied it 1-1 at 12:15 of the first. After Casey Mittelstadt won a battle in the corner, Tyson Jost took the puck to the net for a chance that was stopped by Mrazek, but Olofsson was in front to push it by the goalie’s right skate.

Thompson’s 32nd goal of the season put the Sabres ahead 2-1 with seven seconds left in the opening period. Jeff Skinner sent a pass through the slot to Thompson, who took it to the net and easily deposited it into an open cage with Mrazek out of position on the other side of the crease.

The Sabres got a short-handed goal to go up 3-1 at 6:21 of the second period. Krebs jumped at a soft pass at the Buffalo blue line by Blackhawks forward Max Domi and broke in before lifting a backhand over Mrazek.

Kurashev deflected a Jones point shot to cut the deficit to 3-2 at 1:34 of the third period.
